You're not walking around killing things willy-nilly, you're there to solve mysterious fates and reach the Gate of Judgment to basically ask for forgiveness for you past sins in life. Of course there are items and things to do but it's just that nearly everything in the game servers this thematic purpose of telling a story about karma, redemption and rebirth. It doesn't focus nearly as much on weapons, armor, loot or equipment. It doesn't play like a King's Field game at all. It's interesting but not a total blast to play or anything.Īnonymous 11/11/21(Thu)12:35:13 No. Language-wise it's also not exactly beginner level in terms of vocabulary. Maybe they did that on purpose to discourage you from picking up every single thing you see because that's actually not what you're supposed to do. It has a pretty strong technical presentation and atmospheric opening but it is a very slow moving game - especially with the excessive amount of time it takes to pick up any item.

I've seen you can get to the end quite quickly if you know how to trigger certain conditions. The path through the game changes accordingly. It's more of an adventure game about what items you pick up or don't pick up and what decisions you make along the way. Environments are rather narrow and combat is sort of an afterthought as well. I recently played several hours of it but haven't finished it so far.
